Who is BD?

Benjamin Doser is a singer-songwriter born in Germany in 1996.

Doser was born in Wiesbaden and grew up in Otterstadt. A small village in the south west of Germany. Influenced by his dad, he started playing drums as a toddler and joined his dad for gigs with mainly African percussionists. In his early teens he picked up the electric guitar. Up to this point in his life, he spent most of his time outdoors with friends and his grandparents. Farming, skating, BMX, Snowboarding, football, table-tennis. He has many interests. When he was 13 years old, he got a new teacher in school, Juergen Adler. Benjamin had no discipline up to this point in his life. Adler taught him to achieve things that take longer than one day to realise. Adler on guitar and vocals and Doser on drums restarted Adlers band “jungbusch“, a German rock band. That made Benjamin learn to practice on his own with the will to get better. He started taking drum lessons and played gigs with jungbusch. One day he went to a concert and saw “Audiodamn” a soul/rock trio. 

He immediately fell in love with the band. Luckily he was able to take drum lessons from the bands drummer, Daniel Mudrack. Mudrack became and still is a big influence in Doser’s life. He helped him tremendously to grow and develop confidence. He opened the doors to Doser’s goal to become a professional drummer. After one year of practicing on his own Doser started studying drums at Popakademie Mannheim. Meeting young people with similar goals and an infrastructure that makes it so easy to grow quickly opened many doors. He became a member of the Germany Pop/Rock band ok.danke.tschuess. 

The band started playing many gigs and Doser got touring experiences. After recording, producing and playing many shows the band came to stop when the covid chapter began. 

Doser found himself at home picking up the guitar and writing songs. He realised that telling a story is what he really wants. After writing and producing for one year he felt it’s the right moment to pursue the next chapter in his life. 

In love, he left his band and moved to Dublin (Ireland). 

He released four singles “out with you; best version of myself; letter to someone; drunken kisses“

Busking was the way to reach people with his music. He started playing gigs and experienced to play shows as a singer-songwriter. He began travelling to warm places in the Irish winter and played on Tenerife, toured in Portugal.  He released a acoustic record called “honesty” in 2023. Understanding that honesty is one of the most important characteristics for him. Being honest to yourself and other people around you. 

Doser realised that the touring lifestyle works perfectly for him. He bought a tourbus and is currently touring Europe.

He has an 5-song EP coming out on Sep. 20th, 2024. The EP is named after one of the songs called “The one I’m dreaming of“. Doser talks about future love. 

Writing songs and playing shows makes him feel connected and in the right element.
